Seven!

My baby is seven!  I love this boy so much!!

Here are some facts about 7 year old Jackson:

- He LOVES anything Star Wars and Legos

- He is an amazing reader and is reading chapter book after chapter book.  He loves to read in bed with his headlamp at night.  He has been known to stay up for an hour to read an entire book in one night.

- He has lost one tooth but has two more that are wiggly!

- He is a great big brother!

-  He is too cool for school.  He has gotten to the age of rolling eyes, thinking he knows more than mom and dad, and not always wanting snuggles from mom:(

-  His activities include aftershool chess club, swim team, and soccer will be starting up again in a few weeks.

-  He had his first sleepover last weekend to celebrate his birthday.  Jackson and three of his buddies had a blast playing at the park, playing the Wii, and watching movies.  Of course they stayed up late and there was a lot of boy humor (eg, fart jokes!) which I don't understand but Jackson had a blast!

-  Jackson continues to excel at school.  Reading and math come easy for him and his favorite part of school is art (which is shocking considering he was a preschooler who NEVER wanted to color).

 

We love you Jackson!!  Mommy always tells you to remember who YOU are (honest, respectful, kind and courageous) as you walk out the door to go to school...never forget that!  Happy 7th birthday buddy!!
