Mother's Day
This was the only picture that day
Me with my five favorite people. Oh how I love each one of them! They were sweet to me that day (and most other days too). Jackson made me some chore coupons and gave me chocolate, Cooper made me an apron at school and picked out some new nail polish (orange!), and Grant also made me an apron and chose some new lipgloss for me (I can never have enough lipgloss)! Cal gave me an early gift of sleeping in until 7:00 the day before:). My boys know me well. We went out to dinner that night and then to my favorite ice cream place, yum!
I found one more picture from Mother's Day...
A mommy's job is never done. From sun up to sun down, or rather SON up to SON down! I love love love being their mom!!

Mother's Day Tea
Grant and Cooper hosted me at their Mother's Day Tea at school today. It was so fun to see how excited they were to have me as a guest and to show me around their room.
They had both drawn pictures of me that were so sweet.

Watch Me Grow: Six Months
I blinked and Cal is 6 months old! This past month has been full of milestones for Cal. We've been busy with birthdays, spring break, and Easter, and Cal has been busy learning lots of new things.
Weight: 13 lbs, 11 oz.
Length: 25.5 inches
Sleeping: Cal you are finally taking good naps, hip hip hooray!! You have been the king of 30 minute naps, and I have been so frustrated trying to figure out how to get you to sleep longer. Well, we decided to finally take you out of the swaddle this month and that was the ticket! You love being free!! You typically nap in the morning from 9-10:30ish and again in the afternoon for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Most days you take a third nap around 4:30 or 5:00 for about 30 minutes. We can lay you down awake and you go to sleep without much, if any, of a fuss. You still occasionally will wake up after 45 minutes but will usually go back to sleep. You go down for the night at 7:00 and sleep until 6:30 or so. Of course in the last week you've been waking up early, too early, like 5:15 AM too early!! But I think its because of this cold that you have. At least that's what I'm hoping for, and once this cold goes away you'll be back to sleeping until 6:30.
Eating: You finally got the hang of eating solids this month. So far you have had rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, prunes, and pears. You are eating three times a day and you never seem to get full! You are eating anywhere between 4 oz of food to 6 oz of food at each meal. You are also still nursing, about four times a day. At your 6 month check up the doctor was concerned about your growth. You have only gained 10 oz and .5 inch in the last two months and you have dropped to the first percentile in weight and the 9th in height. (I checked the big boys' baby books and Cal is the smallest of all four at the age of 6 months. He is our little peanut!) We are going to try a few things this month and go back to the doctor for a weight check in a month. I'm praying there will be a major improvement, and I can continue to nurse you but if that's not the case, then we will probably move forward with formula. We will cross that bridge when we get there I guess.
Milestones: You are rolling with ease from your back to your tummy. I have found you on your tummy twice after napping. You are not so efficient at rolling from your tummy to your back though. You usually just scream until someone rescues you.
You are sitting with support and are able to sit on your own for about 10 seconds before you start to fall over. You have started babbling too. You are still really drooly but no teeth yet.
You love being outside now that we have had some warmer weather. I can put you in the Bjorn and you are content forever. I think you like the fresh air and you love watching the big boys play. You still seem to like to be held the best. We can put you on the floor to play or in your jumper but it doesn't last too long and you are crying and want to be held. I hate to even complain about that because you are the last baby and I want to snuggle you as much as I can before you get too big for snuggles from mom.
