Three Year Olds

Grant and Cooper turned three at the beginning of this month.  The morning of their birthday, Grant came into our room and announced, "We're free!!" That's "we're three," in three year old talk. :)  We spent the morning playing outside because it was a beautiful day.  They also got to pick out a spot for lunch, McDonalds of course.  We had a few of their friends over in the afternoon to play and have cake.  Here are some pictures from the day...

Jackson is Five!

I can't believe my baby is five!! Jackson has been looking forward to turning five for awhile and now he is very proud to tell people how old he is when he's asked. We spent his birthday at the lake house this year by Jackson's request. It was a great idea and I'm so glad that is how he choose to spend his special day. It was kind of a quiet day, but we had fun. We tried out a local park which lasted about 2 minutes because it was freezing, ate lunch at his restaurant of choice SUBWAY, and of course ate yummy red velvet cupcakes. He was super excited about his new Eli Manning jersey and his transformer too.

Grandma Camp

In the last month Grant and Cooper both took their turn at Grandma Camp all by themselves.  It was so strange not having them together at home, but I really think it was good for them to each have some special attention for a couple of days.  When Grant left for his visit I thought about the fact that they had never spent more than maybe a couple of hours apart for their entire existence!  They've always been side by side.  They definitely have a special bond!  While Grant was gone, Cooper asked about him frequently.  They loved skyping with each other and sat for a good 20 minutes straight just talking about trucks and cars.  While Cooper was gone, Grant would ask about him and say random prayers for him, "God Bless Cooper."  Jackson of course missed them both too.  He was ready and waiting with big hugs when they both came home.  I love that the boys are so close in age.  Even though it can often times be a struggle getting the three of them to agree on an activity/book/tv show and Jeff and I are often times playing referee, I'm still thankful that all three of them are close and love each other like they do.

Happy Easter!

Easter 2012

It seems rare these days to get a picture of just Jeff and I!

Jackson was SUPER excited to wear his new purple tie on Easter Sunday. He has been asking to wear it ever since we bought it!

We had a great Easter weekend. My parents came for a short visit.

We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Grandpa even took a turn batting during our family baseball game.

The cheering section

Saturday we went to the Easter Egg hunt at church. They told the Easter story using the Resurrection Eggs. The kids had a huge egg hunt, and then they each got to decorate and eat a cookie. Sugar, sugar, and more sugar! It was fun!

Easter Sunday was a great day!  The excitement of what we were celebrating and of course more sugar made for a fun morning.  The boys were thrilled with their new marble ramp!  They didn't even really notice the baskets, they just wanted to play with marbles.

I hope everyone had a joy filled Easter!

Birthdays Birthdays Birthdays

I have a lot to catch up on...we've had three birthdays in the house in the last 9 days.  Jackson is now a big FIVE year old, Grant is a big THREE year old, and of course Cooper is a big THREE year old too.  I have lots of pictures to share from their birthdays and our spring break...they will be coming soon.

Hard Worker

Jackson LOVES to be Grandpa's helper!  On this particular day, he made Grandpa stop the project so he could put on the "appropriate" work attire.

Making sure Grandpa is sawing just right!
