The Farm

When we have a beautiful sunny day, we take advantage of it and get outside.  We've had such a cold spring, any chance we get to be outside we take it.  A couple of weeks ago we took a trip out to one of the local forest preserves for a picnic with another friend and her three year old twins.  There is a small working farm tucked way back into the preserve and our plan was to check out the animals and have a picnic.  The boys loved it!  They got to see sheep, goats, chickens, roosters, and one very large turkey.  Unfortunately the pigs or cows weren't out, so we'll have to go back another time to sneak a peak at them.
Checking out the chickens and roosters.

I love Cooper's facial expression.  He's telling them to be quiet!

The turkey hiding from us.  I wasn't sure he would fit through that hole.  He was huge!!

Here is the HUGE turkey.  He was pretty funny looking.  Grant was checking him out, but Cooper wasn't so sure about that funny looking bird.
Cooper is yelling, "I love tractors!"
Grant checking out the big blade.
Friends!
