Gone Fishin

I have been a bad blogger!  Why has it been so hard to sit down and record all the happenings in our life?  LIFE is busy these days and I just haven't been able to catch a minute.  I have so much to catch up on, starting with Jackson.  How I love and cherish this little boy.  He is just a sweet boy that recaptures my heart everyday.  I have heard lots of "I love yous" in the last couple of weeks and it melts my heart every time he tells me.  Jack had a special day with Grandpa while we were back in Iowa over Memorial Day.  Grandpa took Jackson fishing for the first time.  They headed down to the pond with a Cars fishing pole, some worms, and Grandpa's tackle box.
Jackson was so excited to fish, but he kept his distance as Grandpa put the worms on the hook.  He was ready and willing to help hold the fishing pole and reel in the fish though.  Excitement was written all over his face when they knew they had caught one!
As soon as that fish popped out of the water, Jackson was out of there!!  As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!
Here are the two proud fishermen with their first catch.
And their second catch...
They went on to catch about a dozen of these little blue gills.  Jackson had so much fun, and even mustered up enough bravery to touch one of the fish.  I was so proud of him!
Thanks Grandpa for making a special memory for Jackson and for me too. :)
