Family Reunion & The Flu

Ugh, the flu bug has hit our house!  So far Jackson is the only one that has been sick but it has been a long drawn out thing and we are ready for him to be healthy.  After two nights of cleaning up throw up in the middle of the night, I'm hopeful that tonight will be a mess-free night!  Now we're just praying that no one else gets it.  Can we be that lucky??

I haven't had time to sit down and share about our Memorial Day travels, so here goes.  We had a great weekend!  We spent the weekend back in Iowa with family.  We attended the "S" Family Reunion, which we haven't been to in four years!  I can't imagine how Grandma Dolores was feeling that day.  She had all of her family except for three people in one room.  Forty-six of us, including 18 great grandchildren!!  Wow, I hope one day I can experience that feeling.  The boys had a great time playing with cousins they had met for the first time.  The weather was pretty crummy, but it stopped raining long enough for the kids to get outside and play in the puddles, which was probably the highlight of the day for my boys.  Of course, the afternoon came to end with the boys crying because they didn't want to leave.  They were so so so tired they didn't know what to do with themselves.  I think Grant was asleep before we were out of the parking lot.
Grandma Dolores and 17 of her 18 great grandchildren (little Cara was napping, and Cooper is in the picture but you can't see him, he's next to Grant)

Another shot of the great grandchildren.  You can see Cooper in this one, but not Grant.

My three boys busy playing in the big puddle while the big kids were trying to play softball.
Cooper literally bent over and stuck his head in the puddle!  They were all soaked!

The ride home...all of the boys stripped own to their diapers, Cooper got to keep his shirt on.
Sunday was spent with my parents.  Jackson had an adventurous day with Grandpa, but I will save that story for my next post.  I'm exhausted from this long week, and too tired to put the rest of the pictures out here.  Here's hoping for a full night of sleep!
