Firestation Visit

If you stop by our house on any given day you will probably find my boys playing superheroes or firefighters.  They run around the house saving people and catching the bad guys all day long.  Sometimes with capes and fire boots, sometimes without.  So the boys were more than thrilled when we got a personal invitation to tour a local firestation.  Our friends' dad is a firefighter and loves to have kids come to his firestation and show them around, so we arranged for a Sunday afternoon to go and visit Firefighter Larry.  When we got there Jackson didn't know where to look first!  He was on cloud 9!  He ran from the truck to the ambulance and back again, over and over and over.  Grant and Cooper loved it too and wanted to test out all the seats in the truck.  The boys got to go in the firehouse and see where the firefighters sleep, eat, and even watch TV.  While we were in the firehouse there was a "call" from the dispatcher welcoming the boys to the firestation.  When it was time to leave, poor  Jackson was devastated!  He was on such a high, he just didn't want to leave and was super sad when we had to say goodbye to Firefighter Larry and his firehouse.  I think he was ready to move in.  Jeff and I would be very proud of him if he became a firefighter someday but not for about 20 years or so.

We had a great time and really appreciate the great firefighters at Station 5 taking time out of their day to show our boys around!
